Re: Where in Spain ?

Any of the places mentioned N. of Alicante are perfect. Beaches to the front, mountains behind. Good shopping in Alicante, Benidorm or Calpe.
If you can fly to Valencia the Gandia/Oliva area is similar and a cheap train journey up to Valencia. Which, as mentioned, is superb.

Our goal was perfect. Starting with a Nick Pope goal kick and they couldn’t even show the extra second to get that in. Yet they show every meaningless incident from 4 angles, plus all the colour shots, as they say, of the crowd and managers. Our match was on for 5m 9s. I edited the sky highlights pa...

Wood will never be a finisher but he does the job he’s asked to do.
He was so flat footed for the two half chances yesterday.
He has been so poor this season time must be running out.
JRod & Barnes for me currently with Vydra to come on after 70mins.

Re: Is 433 A Better System Right Now

One of SDs few weaknesses for me is game management. It went our way today but how many times do we drop points late on because we can't successfully see out a game. 4-4-2 is his way and I have no problem with that but we are a professional sports team and have to be coached in other systems so when...

I’ve complained about it before. It’s a lack of conditioning and the game should never stop for it.

The guy back at base is a first class ref. He should be expected to get it right.
Although Hibs has a good point, the guy in charge might have thought he saw something that under his own review he would change.
At the moment I think the speed of decision is more important, until folk get used to it.

Kanes was a dreadful decision. Lascelles had no chance of reaching the ball and threw himself head first. Missed the ball and contacted the man. PENALTY.
If he had tackled with his boot and had the same outcome nobody would be discussing it.

I know who the four on the horse picture but I don't know the name of one of them. They were the four captains of the four Lancashire teams who won the four divisions in 1972/73. Tommy Smith (Liverpool) Martin Dobson (Burnley) Warwick Rimmer (Bolton) Southport Captain John McPhee captained Southport.
