We are now in a position where 9 points for us means the bottom 3 can’t lose 27 points or we are safe. Handy place to be at this stage. More than 9 for us, emminently doable, would really rattle them.

4k is superb.

I’m still shocked that Nick Pope didn’t have to make a single wonder save. That’s how good we were.

An excellent video which captures the nuances of the togetherness of our squad.

Watching on BT Sport when one of the goals went in, I forget who's, but one of the players was shouting "I ******* love you" to whoever scored.

Brilliant.

The only problem with Allen is size. We don’t beat the big 6 because they out muscle us in midfield. Cork/Westwood are more than adequate against the rest. He is still a fine footballer and a better passer than we possess. If we were to go 3 in the middle of midfield he would be ideal.

Hammys are a *******. He should get onto Giggs who overcame his regular hammy injuries with constant stretching and, I believe, ballet exercises.
I’d play him in the cup but tell him not to go into full sprint at any point. I’d rather lose than have him injured again but he does need game time.

Not sure Villa would ditch Smith. Every chance he could bring them straight back up. They play some tidy football just not PL quality. Some would possibly want out.
