The release bearing only works when the clutch pedal is pressed, it releases the clutch. If the noise is there without touching the clutch pedal then it won't be the release bearing.

There were 4 Chinooks and 2 single prop helicopters at the front, closely followed by about 5 other helicopters. Must be a large military exercise somewhere. Maybe UKR troops training for the summer offensive.
