Re: Steven Defour

First away game last season, Chelsea 2 v 3 Burnley, second away game Spurs 1 v 1 Burnley. Steven Defour played a big part in those 4 points. Tom Heaton was injured in Sept. If Steven Defour is fit, the question is can we keep up with him. History will tell, of course. ;) Yes he did play a big part ...

Re: Then (100 Years ago) and Now Maps

Thanks for that thehistorylecturer. I didn’t know it was previously a speedway track. For years all what was left on the site was huge piece of concrete I scrambled on as a kid, near to arrow mark in the second picture. The Co op laundry was later shared, then taken over by Co op milk. Them days it...

Ok I respect your opinion,he doesn't ask to be injured,he's been unlucky, there is a fantastic footballer in there and I have seen glimpses......I like him,I also rate Jeff Hendrick....but that's another story. :D No he doesn't , yes he has been very unlucky and I can tell you from personal experien...

Yes we did .. was he ? really ? .. I didn't honestly think so ..I'd put it down to Pope and the defence to be honest ..

Just opinions .. I like Steven Defour but the question is can we carry him ? I'm not so sure.

Yes Fair play .. he is a good technician no doubt but to compare him with our finest ? No not for me ... 38 games a season home and away we don't just play 10 at home .. First thing to consider aside from a very good free kick in the 2-2 at Newton Heath is his almost non-existent contribution away ...

SD has been injured quite a lot in his time for us,but is still one of the finest players to ever worn the famous Claret shirt, and in the Premier League era he's the best by a long way. 56 years we've spent at the top table of English football and you really believe that Mr Defours good performance...

Re: Steven Defour

Go back 2 seasons and look at the style of play and confidence we had with him on the pitch. The whole team was better with him on the pitch. The best footballer we have had in 50 years , if you can't recognise that maybe you should ask your guide dog. I asked my guide dog he said Trevor Steven and...

Re: Coventry close to liquidation

Major problems with the owners of the Ricoh and Coventry. This is a real carcrash of a club.Left Highfield Road sold off by the then owners.Built a new ground that they felt befitted their status and a series of incompetent directors and owners have wrecked a once successful club. Now they may have...
