Re: Blackpool v Burnley 1990
The exit from the Spion Kip was a death trap. All the terrace exited by one bottle neck walkway at the side. Being shuffled along unable to move your arms. Was always relieved when I reached the exit gate as a young lad.

Phil Stant was a good player at that level, always seemed to score a lot. Ex SAS if my memory serves me rightly.

I live on the Fylde so would like Blackpool. Looking up the thread, and I know it's irrelevant now but I can think of nothing worse than drawing that lot from down the road in the cup.

The shirt after Spall was Ellgren. The first shirt I saw us play in. No, the kits manufacturer after Spall was a company called EN-S. Their logo was simply a capital E with a horizontal line above it. We only wore it for one season, 87-88, the season we went to Wembley. Reverted back to Spall for t...

You can't really pause a football season. I know we did last season, and it ended up being completed. But if we start pausing it again, you'd have to question the judgement of those in charge who decided to go ahead in the first place.

The mental health card makes it very convenient for it to be swept under the carpet. The defendant is detained at a secure hospital with a cloak of medical confidentiality. Same thing with the Marks and Spencer attacker the other day. Avoids the elephant in the room.

What gets me is, the kits aren't imprinted on the memory like they used to be. If I think back to games against Wolves, I imagine the old gold, Blackpool in tangerines, Newcastle in black and white stripes. Even some away kits became iconic, like the red and black stripes of Man.City and green and y...
