Always dodging the park ranger was a full time hobby. Me and my mates used to build dens in that long grass, or be setting fire to it.!I remember when the only building at the top of Morse St was Brunshaw youth club. Also used to love messing about on the small holdings

Coyote, I virtually spent my entire free time on the lower Towneley playing fields. I used to play with my mates against other groups of pals(mainly from olympia St, Lyndhurst Rd, Mitella St. Sheerloom carpets wall was excellent for a game of 'Wallie'?

Re: Best ever indivual performance by a Burnley player ?

Maybe slightly off topic, but I met a guy a couple of weeks ago in a pub in Aberdeen (before 2nd lock down) and he saw my Burnley top and told me he played in the same team as a young guy who played a blinder against Burnley in the 60's in a cup game. Burnley signed him on the back of that performan...

Re: Burnley v Norwich 1974

We opened the windows at St. Teds to try and hear the crowd if there was a goal. Got out at 3-15pm and legged it down to see the 2nd half. I'm sure they were still building the Bob Lord stand as I remember all the workmen stopping work and watching the game.

My wife works in a care home. Even today she still has no PPE. Its a private care home and my guess is because of finance. I won't go into details but she is a walking wreck and it's affecting all the family. If she quits her job she will get zero financial help. Its a terrible situation we are in.
