If this turns out to be a 2pm kick off on the Sunday which is likely there is realistically only the first train from Burnley Central at 09:34 and takes three hours to reach Wolverhampton. Do bear in mind that a large majority of Northern Rail trains are cancelled on Sundays due to drivers not turn...

I’m not sure that popey could have done much about the first. He’s not going to stand with his legs closed and he can’t have expected him to get a shot away as he was falling over with his back to goal and two defenders on him.

I know this is a positive post so not a criticism, but I don’t buy comments about Barnes not being the most naturally skilled. He’s easily one of the most technically gifted players at Burnley. The fact that he likes to mix it up shouldn’t deter from that. His touch is fantastic and he strikes a ba...

Re: VAR ... is this the logic they will use

I don’t really understand people’s clamour for a captain’s challenge. Putting this into the hand of the players is open to abuse. And you’d have 4 guaranteed VAR reviews every game regardless. Most importantly, it won’t do what VAR is intended to do and that is to get all of the important decisions...

Re: VAR ... is this the logic they will use

It dampened down my celebration for the second goal today. I sit behind the goal and Barnes was in so much space I thought he was off. I maintain that the captains should be given 2 challenges to decisions per game to be used when he wants. If he is correct he keeps the challenge. Exactly like crick...
