No different to Neville being in commentary for a United game and to be fair to both him and Keown, there was no bias.

Re: Mike Garlick on 'Turf More'

If we’ve confidence in the ability and potential of a player, such as Phillips, we eventually need to take a bit of a calculated risk. The transfer fees are astronomical but assuming said signing delivers, we would be quids in. Last window or the one before, I remember posters saying that we don’t n...

Personally feel it should be regionalised in some way. The costs and hassle involved for 2nd division teams who are already playing 46 games and then with trips in the week for cup matches. It’d be bloody magic if we made a final! We will never win the top division again, unless something drastically changes. There is though, always an outside chance of a cup. A favourable draw and who knows? Just look at Wigan. It may have lost some magic but there’s still enough there to make me want...

Bit like the FA Cup,no one cares. The FA Cup winners should get a champions league place and the league cup winners a UEFA cup place. Pretty perfect signing for us, assuming it all goes through. I’ve always seen him as a grafter, prepared to get stuck in, but offering a threat going forward with some clever passing. A 4-4-2 player as well. Ticks plenty of boxes and only gone 29 earlier this year.

I’d be surprised if this does happen, but very pleased.

Someone able to break up play and then play accurate balls out to either flank could really ease some pressure and set us on the front foot. We’ve had a tendency to utilise our centre halves for that, perhaps more than we should.

Good player, but given the knee injuries that plagued him last season he would be a risky signing. £20m and 50K a week is a huge amount of money and an astronomical amount if he turns out to be an ongoing crock.
