Alan Stevenson in the 1972-73 promotion season. We were under the cosh at Turf Moor against Bristol City in a game which finished 1-1, but in all fairness, it could have been 1-5. Stevenson produced a save low to his right which was later compared to Gordon Banks's 1970 World Cup save from Pele.

This drinking lots of water lark is based on the false view that the body is made up of water. It isn't. It's made up of electrolytes. If you drink too much water, you flush the electrolytes out of your body. Only drink water when you are thirsty.

The maximum starch carbohydrate you should eat per day is 50 grams. You probably could do with less. Eat lots of vegetables, especially cruciferous ones. Consume zero sugar. If your last meal is finished at 8 p.m., your next one should be at noon. Don't even have milk in tea and coffee between these...

Very sad news, indeed. He learned Spanish and was fluent enough to be a TV presenter. Some achievement that. I remember him playing at TM for PNE in a friendly in the mid-70s. RIP Michael.

Wasn't the '82 championship another one where it was virtually guaranteed at Southend but not mathematically confirmed until Chesterfield at home?
