I remember him making his debut when I was in the 5th year at Ermysted's. Leighton was a year older than me. One of my favourite ever Clarets. A truly fantastic footballer. At his peak, he was regarded as one of the wingers in Europe.

It was worse than Brian Laws’ record until that run of four without defeat.
