I don't say anywhere that he's a top class Premier League striker so I'm not spinning anything. I personally believe, if his attitude was right (and this is the big question), he would have been a better option than Jay this season. Some fans don't like him because he wouldn't drop to the Champions...

We went into a PL season with Foster as our main striker and Jay Rod as back up. Surely Wout would have been a better option? He holds the ball up well and is skillful. He looks good when playing for Holland. I think a lot of Burnley fans dislike him because they think he has an attitude. How does any fan know? Anyway, the Dutch tend to say exactly what they think.

This tread title had me checking Tony Green the footballer who was forced to retire after a knee injury inflicted by a clumsy tackle when he was just short of his 26th birthday. He really was a brilliant player. Still living and a fair bit younger than 84.

As good as last season was (and it was amazing), this season has been the polar opposite and some! I can't recall a season as bad (given the level and the investment). The season was over before Christmas and we've got steadily worse as the season has progressed. There's just nothing to get excited...

It's a real shame that Foster is out for a while, as I was interested in seeing how his partnership with Fofana developed. We haven't had two strikers as good as these two up front together since the early/mid-'70s.
