I was at that game, it was a promotion clash with Bury winning 1-0 i think. What I do remember is some of the Seasiders "less fun loving fans" deciding that they'd kick off cause they were losing and try to destroy the away end. Evening Clarets. A bit of a long shot, but can anyone remember who scored for Burnley in their 2-1 win in the first leg and their 3 goals in the 5-3 defeat at Bury in the second? And what was the pattern of the goal scoring in the second leg? Did it go to extra time? Thanks in advance for any help.

It was great to interview Frank for The Forgotten Fifteen - even though my voice recorder didn't work and we had to do it all again a week later at the Ram in Cliviger. He and Dobbo also came to my signing at Gigg in November 2015 which was proper above and beyond the call of duty.

As soon as it dawned on us that Stan was going to Burnley we knew he’d try and take the spine of the team too. As it turned out, he didn’t just want Lenny, Westy, Jeppo, Elvis, Swanny and Stretch - he told me for the book he also unsurprisingly wanted Dean Kiely and Chris Lucketti too.
