I might have dreamt it or made it up, but was led to believe he had brief links to the Burnley area in the 80s. A bit of an enigma for me, seems as straight and sensible as you can get but had history. Either way, good bloke who has left his mark on British sporting history and culture. RIP

I’m currently working for Americans who provide the food. The Food is great so far as I’m concerned. Just had my porridge for breakfast watching my yank mates put at least 1500 calories of sugar and fat away. Nothing to do food standards that one, just poor choices and ridiculous portions sizes.

I’m so out of touch. I’d sooner watch DI Sleet, brief case wankers mob and Curt Mclure than anyone mentioned so far and they are definitely not greats. Father Ted is good, but I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at Partridge or Brent, too sensitive a cringe reflex I think.

It’s easy to self filter the threads to avoid. I like the randomness of it all and it would be mistake to take that away. Let the people who never listen to each other or agree on anything crack on talking about divisive subjects. You know what to expect before you open a thread most of the time.

Surely enough room for just ST holders, assuming away fans are banned. Quite a complex puzzle though - unless you have a blanket policy that forces kids to comply and sit a social distance away from parents etc. Then it's easy.

I don’t drink at home, because without boundaries I might drink too much, far too much. Also, it is how my dad treated/treats drinking- a social thing not an every day thing. That’s rubbed off and works for me.

******** to that. Eat what you want, but count what you eat. Carbs will help you train harder and longer and you need to transition to a sustainable lifestyle eventually. Use myfitnesspal and aim for the balance recommended on there in terms of maximum intake.

Whilst of course you’re right, Vietnam used their Army to make parts of their policy work. That is a massive call on British streets. History will probably determine we got it wrong, but success is relative if it involves a complete loss of hard won freedoms.

I don’t want to cause unnecessary alarm, but could you be diabetic? A work colleague had a similar issue (repeatedly though!)which eventually led to the diagnosis. Might be worth seeking some proper medical advice, especially if it happens again.
