Frequenting an East European shop has produced some gems: Perła honey lager from Lublin - goes very well with desserts. Volfas Engelman from Kaunas, a range of lagers in cans to suit all tastes, and excellent on draught last year in Vilnius. Švyturys bottled lagers from Klaipėda and Utena, also Lith...

Over here: Kozel Světlý.
In Prague in Winter: Kozel Černý, accompanied by soup in bread. Must do Velké Popovice tour on next Jet2 visit.
Would make do with bottles of Sainsbury's 'Czech' at £1.25 per 500ml, brewed by Staropramen but better than their branded stuff i m o.

Re taxi fare: current price from Oakwood Clock to Burnley centre is £85. Verbal quote from Yeadon-based private hire company (Daughter works there as dispatcher). Oakwood is at the bottom end of Roundhay Park.

New Station Street is closed to buses at the moment, so S10 is suspended. You can catch the 19/19A from Infirmary Street, far side of City Square from the station.
