Re: Burnley U17's Premier League Cup today

Sorry guys, my bad mistake. BenWickes did link to the Everton website and I misread the answer to the question. Wigan did indeed win and 2-1 and we should go through to the Quarter Finals. Sorry to cause consternation amongst fellow Clarets, it has been a starnge day in Ashington today for various ...

Re: Burnley U17's Premier League Cup today

That being the case, both the Clarets and Everton have exactly the same goal difference 7-5. I wonder if they will work it out in head to head, in which case Everton would go through and that would be a shame. Edited because I have just confirmed that it goes on a head to head basis. Wigan have onl...

Found this from October last year - The U17 Premier League Cup will begin next week in seven regionalised groups of four. The group winners plus the best runner-up advance to the last eight. Liverpool are the only Cat 1 side not taking part; Sheffield Utd, Wigan and Millwall represent Cat 2. We're i...

Never heard of Kamil Maciag (who's 16) and he's not listed on the club website in the U18 squad. Tried to Google him and came up with a blank. The name Maciag appears to be Polish.

Re: Starting eleven v Villa

I think we should give it a real go and start with all four strikers. McNeil's defending and work rate has come on leaps and bounds so with Taylor out he can fill in at Left Back. Finally we need some legs and work rate in the middle of the park so Id give Westwood a rest as whilst he has a lot of ...

Both your examples are league two, when we’re discussing league one. I think we might have an a former employee at Barrow who might be well informed. Good luck to the lad but I must say that from seeing him quite a few times in the U23's I was more than surprised to see him anywhere near the 1st team. Certainly didn't see enough from him to think that he would/could make that step up but hope that I'm proved wrong.
