Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley

Just garbage how we fold against City, time after time after time. It's amazing how other teams at least manage to make things somewhat difficult for them. We're on for our fourth straight 5-0 at the Etihad (if we're lucky)

For a team with a supposedly "strong jaw", it's pretty pathetic.

Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley

City (by their standards) have been struggling for form this season. Is anyone even remotely surprised that we're the team to make them suddenly look amazing again? We seem to have a serious mental block against City, nine times out of ten, they'd beat us regardless, but we capitulate against them t...

I think now we have a stronger defence we'll at least have a realistic chance of picking up 1-3 points more often. Without Mee I wasn't confident at all. Agree about the defence being stronger with Mee back in it. More the other end of the pitch I'm worried about. 3 goals in 7 games (1 in the last ...

We've scored three in five games in this group, two very questionable penalties and a massive deflection. Not good enough. Southgate has had a poor few months. Some very strange decisions. Must win is probably pushing it. Definitely a biggie though. Lose next week, Man City the week after. All of a sudden, you're looking at two points from nine games. That's already a tall hill to climb. Be a tough game. Palace had a good win today and have won pretty easily the last two years at the ...

Hendrick was always an interesting one. Most important player in the team some would have you believe, absolute bobbins according to others. The truth, as usual, was somewhere in the middle. Tarky never looks as accomplished on the left side. At the very least I'd be moving him back to right centre back so we get the very best out of him. Who plays with him? That's slightly trickier. On the grounds that Long is nowhere near the required standard, and Dunne is probably not ready for this...
