Everton did the same with David Moyes. Says it all.

With respect, back then there was no such thing as a top 6. It was all about the top 4 and to break into that was extremely difficult given the financial gulf between the top 4 and the rest.

Re: Furloughed Pay

True, but by then if you’ve already decided to go down the laying off the route it’d be highly unlikely you’d rehire the worker to furlough, most places it’s either route & no backtracking it’d just complicate matters. It depends on the situation. If they genuinely didn't want to let the employer g...

It clearly states on the BBC website that companies can take advantage of this scheme even if employees have already been laid off, so long as they get them back into the workforce and designate them as a furloughed worker.

In my lifetime (living memory so 96ish - present) just off the top of my head

Heaton

Trippier
Duff
Mee
Taylor

Elliott
Barton
Jones
Arfield

Ings
Barnes

Absolutely frightening that the above team would have cost less than 1 Jeff Hendrick or a Chris wood.

The levels of stupidity in this country is utterly frightening but that is what 10 to 15 years of social media does to society.
