Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover

If we do have money come January, it wouldn't surprise me to see some often linked players that Dyche clearly wants that we perhaps previously couldn't afford arrive.

Joakim Mæhle as an example.

Re: ARTICLE: Peacock-Farrell set for league debut

Well, at least he will get a game with plenty to do and it's not one where we have any expectations.

In a very odd way, it's an ideal way to make your debut (even if you may well concede three or four).

I wish we had an understanding of what sort of finance they have behind them. It would be very interesting to have an idea of whether we will still be trawling for bargains from the lower divisions or whether we can seriously compete for the best from the Championship and abroad.

Ideal opportunity to freshen things this, if we’re still in the Prem and the takeover has gone through. I’d let them all go bar Jack Cork and Matt Lowton (to become backup to whoever our new first choice right back would be). I’d let Long go as I see more potential in Bobby Thomas/Jimmy Dunne to ful...

If it’s a triggered extension he has no say in it.

Right thing to do either way as we can at least sell him for a tidy sum still if he isn’t going to be involved much. Good news on Jay also.

Assuming they have proper funding to provide the manager, the words from ALK seem to align well with what Dyche is like. It seems an alround more optimistic and less risky approach - more Burnley, if you will.

No Farnell either has to be a plus.

I find it infuriating that we play Stephens and bomb Brownhill out to the right. Why not Brady? Or Rodriguez even? Stephens offers absolutely nothing in a midfield two - too static for the position and doesn’t possess the energy of Westwood, Brownhill or Cork and thus looks a fish out of water there.
