Re: Season tickets next season
Just the way of the world at the moment everything is a total rip off… I get that Sheedy, and in most walks of business raising prices is a by-product of inflationary pressures/overheads being more than they used to (and passing this onto the customer to ensure you remain profitable). I don't see h...

Fair to say we can expect everything on the concourse to needlessly increase a quid here, a quid there too I would guess.

Re: Season tickets next season
There will be a lot of I'm alright Jack's who say the price increase is not that much- it's not that much on mine either. However I can't condone the price increase for some of the over 65 tickets, if true that they are between 25-35 percent increase then that's pretty shambolic. I'd have rather mi...

My centre Longside upper, Senior was £290 now £360. Increase 24% Tossers Unjustifiable whatever bullshit they are using as reasoning in the graphics they've cobbled together on the website. Re: Season tickets next season
I was just trying to compare and contrast the pricing with last seasons - but it appears the club have purged the website of the news articles for pricing for 23/24 (presumably to stop people like me checking). Does anyone know what they looked like because whilst the rise for me isn't that large (A...

Re: Season tickets next season
Let's just hope they don't jump on the Arsenal/Spurs bandwagon and start hitting senior season tickets That would be awful, and utterly needless considering the uplift would probably give them enough additional revenue to cover about a month of Tresor's salary if they're lucky. Surely it just would...

Re: Season tickets next season
I pay for my season ticket via DD also (convenience more than anything else with the auto renewal), it's currently something like £36 a month for my seat in the Jimmy Mac Upper. Pure guesswork here, but let's assume a 10% rise as probably in the ballpark of what ALK intend to impart on us - that wou...

Re: Burnley divisive XI' would be a fun thing to do... Thread worthy!
I think everyone rated Kurt, just hated his departure and then his enjoyment at scoring against us (again, and again and again…). Still remember him cupping his ears and running directly in front of us laughing at Deepdale. We had the last laugh that day though (Neil Moore, 2-3!).

Re: Burnley divisive XI' would be a fun thing to do... Thread worthy!
I just mentioned him on another thread but I reckon he fits the moniker of 'divisive' too - Paul Barnes. He was better than I remembered at the time having seen his goals and all-round play back recently but he seemed to be seen as a bit lazy and one note when he was at Burnley. 30 goals in 65 leagu...

Re: Turfcast interview with Andy Cooke
Just checked, it was 8 in 10. I thought he was playing alongside Cooke too as we didn't have Payton then, but Cookey says Creaney was keeping him out of the team. Did we go with one up top under Waddle for a bit? Maybe alongside Paul Barnes? He was in the side until we swapped him for Payton in Jan...

Re: Chesterfield back in the league
Have they a well funded new owner? Usually the conference needs some very decent money to ride that season out . Usually “ how much” depends if it’s a promotion challenge or a struggle in div 2 . Good to see them get back up though . They’re owned by the Chesterfield community trust made up of fans...

Re: Chesterfield back in the league
They’ve suffered terribly since they lost to Preston in the League One Play-Off’s in 2015. Relegated twice and flirted with relegation to National League Nirth at times. A succession of absolutely horrendous managerial appointments (Saunders, Caldwell, Lester, Pemberton, Sheridan and I’m sure a few ...

Re: what is YOUR favourite era watching the Clarets ?
Weird one this as you’d think it would be the Dyche, Kompany and Coyle eras. Whilst these had individually unbelievable seasons, my ‘favourite era’ is actually, bizarrely, the period between 1995-2000. My first game was in 1992, but I started going on weekly (and then getting a season ticket from 96...

Re: Notts Forest: do you now have hope we will survive?
Always hope, but not expectation. Realism says we’re still a team capable of leaking goals, but we have scored 2 in each of our last two games which is progress. We need to beat a big side to have a chance - big boy pants time required at Chelsea.

Aubameyang did nothing after Arsenal but when he played against us (hat-trick) he would have to be up there with anyone else I’ve seen play against Burnley at Turf Moor. Giggs, I may be wrong, came off the bench against us when we won 1-0. He was only on the pitch 20/30 minutes or so but it was lik...

Permutations are pointless unless this team can somehow show it has the cajones to put a big side to bed. We have to beat at least one of Chelsea, United, Newcastle or Spurs to have a hope I think. We have bent over and taken it against the best sides (a few exceptions, we were great against United ...

Muric 8 - One really good stop and quick, incisive distribution. Biggest credit I can give him is that corners were less arse clenchingly horrid as he actually came out and challenged for the ball. Assignon 7 - Lots of good work today (great play to put it on a plate for Fofana who somehow missed) b...

Assignon - Improvement on what we had there but not convinced by him wholly. Makes some strange decisions and I won’t really be fussed either way on if we sign him. We are shite, no doubt about that - but so are Luton. They have relied on the surprise factor of Kenilworth Road and physical/aerial assaults on unsuspecting big boys. Good performance yet again let down by the ineptitude of the defence. We have no hope when you’re defending like O’Shea and Esteve do. One ball dinked over their head or round the side and they’re ball watching every time.
Cullen, Berge and Fofana all very good today.

McNeil was electric when he broke into our team and offered far, far more in general play than Odobert. He was a real team player who swung in a ludicrous amount of excellent crosses in his first 18 months or so in the side. Odobert has potential but he has an awful lot to work on to make it at this...
