Had to do something to cover my face!
Hope you are well mate (any clues?)
Your parents took us both to Wigan's old ground whilst we were at school
Hope you and your family are well. Nice to see you flying the claret flag far away

I remember this game. It was extremely windy for that time of the year. Just over a year later we went there in the Autoglass Trophy, we t one down and ended up winning 1-3. As for the game where the referee added on a lot of time at the end with us leading 0-2, that was towards the end of the prom...

When a photograph doesn't do the scene justice...
Low mist filling The Vale of Burnley from Towneley to Turf. The rolling hills to the singing ringing tree frost covered, set on a pale claret and blue sky.
That's how I saw it this morning anyway!

Altberg boots for the winter season, gtx merrel lightweight boots for the other 3 seasons. As someone else suggested, get some custom insoles. Warm and Dry at Whalley will get you fitted out correctly, well worth a visit (not sure if they are open at the moment though), but they certainly know thei...

Goes without stating but be careful on the roads.
Just helped a neighbour who had got their car stuck and another neighbour walked down the street saying he'd just smashed his car into a wall going down Brunshaw Road

On that list Craster, Dunstanburgh & Low Newton circuit, in Northumberland is a wonderful stroll.
Snowdon Horseshoe is the best walk I've enjoyed.
Closer to home-- Hurstwood, surrounding area and Thieveley Pike

I just can’t imagine how it is possible to genuinely self isolate for 10 days. Does the NHS help arrange supplies of food and toiletries when self isolating? Or do they just leave you to struggle through yourself? There is quite a bit of support available. Track n trace ask if you need help, also Y...

Painkillers for the head ache. I did not have chance to rest but felt like sleeping for days.
Lasted about 8 days, lucky to say it was mild but would not want it again.

The last I heard of Hicky he was running a bar in Thailand but that's a few years ago.
Pretty sure he is in the Philippines - saw a video of him at his bar at the start of lockdown telling people all was well 'no one wearing masks, haven't seen masks since Millwall in the 70's and the beer is 80p'

Order some pigs in blankets as a side from Bistro 197 at the weekend...full size sausages, very tasty but I was expecting something I could nibble through as a side... 3 on top of the one already placed on my turkey burger was too much
Remember pigs in blankets are not just for Christmas

We are missing a trick. Fulham have packed their fans in behind both goals, not quite down to the front of the stands. Why cant we use the Cricket Field Stand? No away fans so we could use it all. Why not use the J Mac Lower, have the fans close to the opposition. I get Bob Lord for Directors and s...

Very sad - a sound lad and big Claret.
Bumped into him from a young age with another Padiham lad who went to many games up and down the country. Even with the MS taking its toll he would still make it into the Cricketfield to get behind the team. Always had a good chat.
RIP Monksy

Genuine question; how would the club have communicated things like this in the pre-internet days? How about fixture changes? Telephone call or by mail? Not sure but I can say I caught the bus to Turf for night games mid to late 90's and walked down Brunshaw Rd confused when the flood lights were no...

. Once the prosecution saw the medical reports they dropped the murder charge, as there was virtually no chance of success. This is normal practice, but as already said, in practical terms it will make no difference The only bit I question is why it gets this far when the prosecution will have been...

I suppose it just comes down to him thinking he'd do a better job than Tarks or Mee. And Dyche didn't think he would. Makes you wonder why we broke our transfer record for someone who'd be a bench warmer, barring injuries. You can't really blame Gibson for coming, he's obviously going to back himse...

Didn't notice anyone sitting together at the Brighton v Chelsea game. Yes it was a trial but can't see it being a coincidence that nobody was sat together. We have solid wood throughout the downstairs, Karndean in the office.
The wood looks good, as does the Karndean but that is easier to keep looking neat and tidy.
I would not change either, not sure I'd have Karndean throughout the house.

Other than the cold water-- my memories are the basket you put you clothes in and the wasps.
Remember finding loads of foreign notes in the pool, thinking we were going to be rich, drying them out and exchanging them for nothing!
