Re: Season tickets next season
Apologies if already discussed, but I sit in between two pensioners in the BLS, and both when the subject of renewals has been discussed in the past say the same thing. “At £275 a season, we’d be daft to give up these seats, we can pick and choose our games”. They go to about half the matches. I’d ...

You can't hang 52% of the population because you don't agree with their decision. That's not democracy. (Even hanging the 48% who voted the other way, albeit more democratic, wouldn't be appropriate for a modern western state.) Tempting though. Particularly with the likes of Casper above ;). Gosh, ...

Back in August we signed a player who months before StatsBomb had described as the European Messi. Now a few on here pan him for workrate. For those asking for a stat with more context. This shows that his shot placement is better than average (so it's not just a case of hitting shots right at the keeper) but that goalkeepers have overperformed against them. So if you bing all your shots straight at a keeper it'd be 100% accuracy. With such a small discrepancy in these I wouldn't read into it in anywhere near the way you are doing, and it's the wrong way to use statistics. Got to applaud the rise for the majority, working age adult tickets. Though I do sympathise with concession customers, the club clearly feel they don’t get enough for those seats and to be fair to them most other leisure activities don’t offer such levels of concessionary discounts, e.g. theatres. Wales hanging on a bit. Just cannot see it for them sadly. Not sure this is clever. Best case, 1-2 points added back. Worse case, 3-4 more points taken away. As it stands they should finish above Luton. Take more points away, it starts to become less likely. Good luck to him. Two crucial points: 1. Fantastic for James, warm congratulations, reflects well on Burnley, and shows how well regarded he is, including by me, even if I would have chosen Muric this season. Glad he did well. I’m not questioning VK’s decision to make Trafford first choice, I’ve no doubt Trafford will become a top GK, but he did wait far too long to make a change in goal. 10 is Heaton at Old Trafford when we drew 0-0. Agreed. I would also argue Trafford at BHA was close. A 10 is when you walk away from a match knowing that keeper was never going to be beaten. For me - this is the sliding doors moment. Had that goal stood, Forest were beaten. The whole point of these rules is so clubs with wealthy owners can’t blow others unfairly out of the water with director’s loans etc. As they are a bigger club with a bigger turnover than all of the bottom three, Forest (this season not last) are allowed to spend more in any event.
