Re: Chelsea v Everton

This Everton side are better than most of Dyche’s Burnley sides. Particularly in central midfield and upfront with Calvert Lewin. This thread is abusing them but they will stay up easily. They just aren’t pretty.

Dyche has done well with the resources at his disposal. This league is brutal.

I was under the impression that he was on his way to us but Chelsea got him and let us have Fofana 😢😢😢 Big naivety unfortunately, the financial payoff from a loan deal was already established, with last seasons loans getting us the £100m bonanza. It isn’t just about buying players and selling them....

What a hat trick though.

The bigger issue is do we choose to try to relegate them in the final game or do we let Luton come down with us?

We do of course long for Heaton and Pope again, but they were incapable of playing the way we play (and City etc play). The fast distribution, the high defence and sweeper keeper.

I’m not convinced having them in our goal this season would have saved us.

What I’ve liked about Muric is the aggression at commanding his box, the instant the ball is swinging over he is charging towards the spot where it will descend, plucking them out of the air. Then his aggression at one on one situations. Then his speed in wanting to get us up the field (as opposed t...

25 points from winning positions, and 15 points by my tally cost us by officials (some points probably double counted in that).
