Re: Jay Rod
I think that "hometown boy" role is great to have in the dressing room, it keeps the connection with the town and the fans as we bring in loads of players from overseas. Obviously that's not enough to deserve a chance to pull on the shirt but it's something that only JayRod brings. Absolutely agree...

Re: What Josh says
The player we most need on the pitch is Cork. Within seconds of coming on the pitch on saturday he was organising, talking and generally sorting stuff out. We became much tighter and whilst some may say Spurs had taken their foot off the gas, that to my mind was due to Cork. I have no issue with Bro...

Jack Cork was outstanding when he came on. Within 15 seconds he was organising, cajoling and running things. We tightened up and were still taking the game go Spurs. Foster, really finding his feet Koleosho, excellent Brun Larsson needs to start as well We desperately need a leader on the pitch as w...

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
So at the moment in this window we have recruited an overload of widemen of whom only so many can play at any one time, but still struggling to bring in a LB. We recruited a GK for £19m which wasn't a priority, still light on the CM that we needed and missed out on a number of players who it was cl...

Re: My concerns…
A really good OP. My main concern is that we don't appear to have a leader on the pitch. At times I thought they looked lost. Cash had the freedom of the right in the first half, gaps everywhere. There is not enough experience on the pitch to see the problems and address them. We desperately need a ...

I think he could do a decent job this year. He came into a very British side that were struggling, playing a brand of football very different to what he was used to in Germany. We now play an entirely different game, one I would suspect he would thrive in. We need a centre forward but we need someon...

Have you tried a local advert, or casually chatting to a neighbour. There are lots of folk who have garages and don't use them. I needed somewhere for mine for a couple of months. Someone put me in touch with an old dolly who let me have the garage for an acceptable sum. Safe and secure. You just ha...

Re: Kompany to City time frame.
Don't think it's a fanciful idea at all. Think he is the ideal candidate in two years time if he does well here. It 's not just about the manager, it's the players who deliver. If he does go to City he will likely have played with one or two of them, his playing days are not that long over so he wou...

Re: Why is nobody mentioning Leeds?
At this level it's the psychology as well. Leeds must have thought job done he other week, but if we win and Everton win this weekend. They don't play until Monday night, they could be playing Palace just a point above Everton and two more than us. That could have a massive impact on them. When you ...

Re: Can we survive in the PL WITHOUT outside investment?
I think the real question is whether we can survive in the championship without investment. We have punched above our weight for too long, the lack of investment in the last couple of years has effected what we are left with today. We cannot compete in the transfer market with the majority of Champi...

Hi, Some good advice above. For what it's worth I would also consider a Nikon D90. Although an older model it was referred to as a prosumer camera, trying to bridge the gap between amateur and professional. It is a cracking camera, which benefits from having a motor built into the body for lenses. T...

I'd guess Ben Mee needs a nice lengthy contract with Burnley more than Burnley need Ben Mee. Ben Mee is replaceable. I can't see Ben Mee starting every week for a better premier league teams than us. And how much exactly is the replacement going to cost? This strikes me as the board being two to th...

I would have taken him before Dier whom I just don't get. Wilshire is the sort who does seem to be able to drive things forward and inject a sense of urgency into proceedings. On his game he is the best attacking midfielder we have. Problem is he is one sneeze away from 6 weeks injured.

Iw1961. You are probabably one of the truck drivers who drives in the middle lane through the roadworks at 56mph, "bullying" car drivers who prefer to stick to the 50 mph limit. You can put your mortgage on it, when there is loss of life on the motorway, a lorry ( or two) will be involved.
