Re: Drink water injury

Drinkwater wasn’t a panic buy (or loan in this case), let’s not get it twisted. 29 year old but a Premier League winner and exactly the right profile.

I think you're rather missing the point, I agree with you, a talent I never thought I'd see in a " Claret and Blue " shirt ... If we played cr@p teams the way we should, Defour would be the perfect footballer. Like when we played Bristol City and he chipped the keeper from 25 yards and we...

He’s naturally a #10 or an interior in the 4-1-4-1 Pep plays. Said it ages ago.

He doesn’t have the burst IMO to truly be a winger for life.

Anyone blaming Lowton is mental. In that position, it is entirely Ben Mee’s fault. You can’t expect your centre half so cheaply give the ball away there. Shocking.

Here’s how I see it: Playing “cr@p” teams should be easy. You’ve got better athletes than them (your players should have more stamina), and you’ve got better technicians than them. So make use of it. Value of a 1v1 player right there. Most lower league teams have one, typically have zero end product but we simply don’t know how to deal with them. Remember Wardy being shredded by Accy’s diminutive tricky winger a few years ago. Flanagan too against Lincoln too.

When we turn up in the FA Cup and lose 5-0 to City, I shrug my shoulders. It does not matter, they are vastly better than us. But this is about more than just which competition matters more, it’s about not getting embarrassed each and every year.

We did win the one league cup game that mattered a couple of seasons ago The Derby seldom produces upsets. And I wouldn’t care if today was a rare instance of losing to a lower league club. But this is every year now, every single time. This is before we consider we’ve been done at home by Lincoln ...
