We stayed in Varenna, just south of Dervio. It turned out to be a great base for the little passenger ferries that criss cross the lake. Belaggio ok for a one off but stupidly overpriced. As thread title. Think a few on here have been recently. Staying on East coast of the lake (Dervio). Weather going to be hit and miss but that aside open to any recommendations. Got a bit of an itinerary and have plenty of time. Will be 4 adults and 3 kids if that affects any of the recommendations....

One thing that amazed me and don't know if it was coincidence or planned. But how so many of them ended up bumping into each other so often. Even when they set off days apart on different routes. I think if I was to do it there would have bene points where I would have looked to team up with others....
