It is possible to get the odd very good deal with players contracts out in the summer, but yes - the average deal must be a lot more costly than in summer. Let’s hope we don’t need to sign anyone then. I gave three key examples where three January signings made instant impacts for us. Fox, Barton a...

The diving pool was brilliant. 1m 3m and 5m boards. Strangely was more than happy diving off the 1 and 3m but would only ever jump off the 5m board no matter how many times I went up the ladder convinced I was diving. Once up there it was just too much. Roast beef monster munch and a slush were the...

Interesting article on the beeb about some long lost archive footage https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-58419852 My favourite episode has to be To Hull and Back, but there's so many classics it's hard too choose between them. Sadly a lot of the original cast are no longer with us, but the 4 prin...

Even as a kid of the 90s the Thompson centre was a great facility. It literally had everything. And I can picture it all now. Walking through reception. The smells. The faces. (Sometimes linked 😂). The facilities. Football. Table tennis. Loved the inflatables at the pool. The pool was far superior t...

Football fans come and go, they don't show the same loyalty throughout their lifetime, that's proven by the drop/rise in attendances dependant on the league a club is in. They invest their emotions and time when they feel the club is at an appropriate level for them to justify it, apart from a smal...

The crazy thing is they are a great team but might yet again fail to reach the World Cup. Despite being top, Switzerland will overtake them if they win their games in hand.
Good side though. Obviously far superior to us but do remind me of us.

We should have added to this squad two years ago.
Our strongest 11
Pope
Lowton Tarkowski Mee Taylor
Gudmundsson Cork Westwood McNeil
Wood Vydra
The most recent signing there is Vydra three years ago. That’s simply not good enough.
