We’ve become so distanced from youth at Burnley so that anyone under 24 must be sent out on loan (endlessly). I’m hoping McNeil convinces Dyche to be less wary of youth.

We don’t do young players ! Surely the last six years have demonstrated that ? We do ageing and no risk on the whole. Couple of notable exceptions, Keane for example but if you’re young you need to be exceptional to feature under Dyche. He has no interest in youth.

Dyche doesn’t trust youth, never has and never will. Anybody who thinks he’s suddenly going to conjure two or three players to add some spark to this most moribund of teams is living in dreamland.
