Some harsh marks on Churlinov. Looks promising, yes he should have scored but he should also have had a penalty after some decent play. He adds something a little different, bit more of a physical presence as are a bit much of a muchness when it comes to physicality.

Whilst some cover at centre-half and maybe a forward would be nice, with 14 players already signed this summer then today doesn't quite have the same feel as previous years, when we'd managed some old lad from Stoke (or Dale Stephens) with the hours ticking down.

Thought it was pretty good. Would use again as for available games. Whilst I'm resident in the UK I am some distance from Burnley.
(I did keep refreshing the Clarets+ page before the game though - hadn't noticed the "Live" Icon).

“Negotiations were minimal”. Justifiably. Yes, I know he scored goals in the Championship, seven years ago or whatever. No guarantee. Never even looked remotely like a regular PL goalscorer. Unfortunately another signing we got little value from. Flattered to deceive ? Absolutely.

Lack of investment stretching back 2/3 seasons and other clubs investing and therefore improving. Thats what did us. I dont know what Dyche coukd have done.
