Personally, I thought he was costing us. He played his last league game at Middlesbrough just before Christmas after which Lowton came in. Maybe the Championship was just a step too far for him. Crazy idea......but play a different shape? As others have said, maybe the answer to the a few issues (creativity, ball retention etc) might be to play extra midfielders (and add pace out wide).

Correct, the same as when I saw Tarks come on against Arsenal as a 70th minute (around there) sub. After a few minutes I realised he was class. I suppose its about the individuals eye. Duncan Watmore has signed an extension with Boro until summer 2023. Good for him - showing some faith with a club who gave him a chance after his injuries.

I'm all for good communication but Pace has made a bit of a rod for his own back here. I've seen an incredible amount of tweets directed to him about who we should be signing etc. Imagine it might not be as pleasant in a few weeks after some defeats.

Yeah, I was out by smidge. O’Brien was 21 when we were first linked with him. Knight is 20 next month. Both central midfielders and both certainly the right profile to be targeting imo.
