Re: McNeil

McNeil was very good today. We won the game in the first 15-20 minutes of the game and McNeil was pivotal in this period. Norwich couldn't handle him when he had possession and when they had the ball his energy in pressing and closing them down was sensational. He wasn't on his own with this either....

A lot of comments about the Vydra back heel. I'd suggest Hendrick has still a bit to do from there. He did....but it was the speed of the move in the final 3rd which created the chance and space for Hendrick. Great incisive pass in from McNeil, first time lay off and then first time hit. Re: Carabao Cup 3rd round draw

Thing is we all know how much Dyche hates making changes unless they're forced on him. So when he makes 9 or 10 of them for cup games it sends out completely the wrong message to the players, he's basically holding his hands up saying he couldn't care less. Or he could be seeing it as a rare opport...

Our squad should be perfectly capable of allowing the Manager to field a strong team tonight which would hold it's own at at least Chamoionship level. Ability wise; yes. No doubt. It's has been the attitude and lack of energy/urgency that has been the recent problem in cup competitions. We never re...

I've been looking at the next 3 league fixtures and these are the sort of games where, assuming Drinkwater will perform as well as we think he will (as in, good enough to replace Cork most likely), we could be doing with him. The debate isn't whether Hendrick is any good or not - it's if he won't sign a new contract should he be sold in January.

I think the answer to that has to be 'yes'. There's no way we can afford for him to walk away for nothing.

I hope he signs a new deal though.

That would equate to £14m in and £14m out.

So hopefully, more than nothing.

Vokes was £10m deal.

All he does is report when a call has been made or interest has been shown in a player. People seem to make the mistake of thinking that every player he mentions is stuck on to be signing.

We do have a slightly stronger squad now than when the season ended. No doubt.

I would still like to see 2 x new players that can play in the middle, bring a bit of creativity to the team and give SD the option of playing a 4-5-1 without having to put 3 x workmanlike midfielders in the centre.
