Re: Assignon
I’m not sure I agree with all the hyped up comments about Assignon and his ability - and, despite his defensive frailty, I certainly don’t think he’s even in the same postcode as Ian Maatsen. One half decent performance against bottom of the league who are essentially a decent championship team does...

Best player on the pitch….again.
Also thought we looked a much better unit when Brownhill came on and played as a pressing number 10. And then JBG gave us even more balance/ability when he came on.

It's not really the main reason though is it. We have scored enough to be able to stay up but we've given away goals all season. I'm not sure how you've managed to watch us all season and come to the conclusion that our attacking threat is our main problem. You can have any opinion you want. If we’...

People can talk about individual errors, lack of fitness, suicidal passes, lack of effort etc etc but the main reason for us to be in the position that we are is because we are completely toothless. Re: Teams for Brighton
I don’t mind the idea of bringing Brownhill in as the advanced midfielder - purely for his energy and pressing further up the field. He hasn’t got the technical ability to play there as an attacking threat but thickening up the midfield makes sense. This would then allow you to try and play an attac...

Muric 5 - ultimately cost us the game Assignon 3 - this guy is dreadful. A complete liability. Shockingly weak and doesn’t look after the ball well enough. Taylor 5 - did the basics fairly well but well off it in possession at this level. Esteve 8 - comfortably our best player today. Defended well a...

Congratulations to him. It certainly won't do him any harm. As poor as he's been this season, I've said all along that I think he could be sold this summer to a Premier League club should we go down and I always thought it wouldn't be long before he was in the full England squad whilst Southgate was...

I went into the Castore store at the Trafford Centre today and their general leisure wear are very nice designs. Much nicer than Umbro. Can’t feel that Umbro (with their heritage) really missed a trick with not doing versions of more iconic kits from the past.

Toney was a handful. If was overweight, unfit or disinterested then he’ll be really good when he’s on it.
I was annoyed with the amount of fouls he got away with. Had he been a defender or midfielder he would have been booked way before he was.

Losing at Anfield when Vitinho comes on as a winger and Benson stays on the bench. There’s absolutely zero logic in this substitution. Zero.
Something is certainly amiss in this situation. It’s definitely not just the theory that the manager thinks he isn’t up to making the step up.
