Very lucky to have him, Eyres and Inchy in the same team at league one level.
I remember him playing for derby against us in the cup at Turf Moor and standing out massively too.
Definitely my favourite player of that time

Always think of the sale of Wayne Thomas to Southampton then picking up Clarke Carlisle for what I think was about a sixth of what we received as one of our best bits of business!

I think it all depends on which Burnley side turns up. Play like we did in the last two and we’ll be ok. Play like we did for most of first half of season then Cardiff will win. Expect the worst and (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised!!

Re: There is a lot of dead wood
I think we need to be a tad more realistic as we rarely sign more than 3-4 players in a window so 6+ Is unlikely. We are not a million miles away but Ward and Bardsley can’t have too long left in them and we are crying out for a stronger (much physical) CM. That’s before we look to replace Vokes. Ho...

I was in the home end for that one. For some reason I thought Nathan Dyer was playing for us that day and that it was Brian Deane who scored for Leeds; clearly the memory is not what it was!

It’s only recently that we actually started playing Wood and Barnes together again. I’m sure they would both have scored more had they been in the starting 11 together since August (and who knows how many more points we would have achieved)

Wanyama and Dembele from Spurs would be a nice pairing to bring in. Both probably available and extremely classy midfielders. Even if we were in the top half again this season I think the wages are well beyond what we’re willing to pay. As it is, I don’t expect anything bar loans unless we have an e...

Was pleased to see Wood and Barnes start together. For me we have to give this partnership a go. We just don’t play as well with Vokes in the starting line up unless he has somebody with a lot of movement in support such as Ings, Gray or (weve only seen flashes) with Vydra. A lot of the issues this season have stemmed from the complete lack of movem...

Have we started a game with our main strike force from last season (Wood and Barnes) yet? I can’t recall them starting together and just can’t understand why. Playing Vokes limits our play going forwards and allows the opposition to defend really high because he can’t run. The midfielders then have ...

For me we missed playing Vydra behind Vokes or playing Barnes behind Wood from the start. We had absolutely nothing up front so when we got the ball we had nowhere to go with it. What a tough one! Think it has to be Swansea as it’s the only match on that list where we were by far the dominant team. Could easily have lost any of the others. Makes you realise how good we were away as I don’t think any home match would make it into the top 5 for the season

We don’t necessarily have to go 442 though to accommodate both Barnes and Wood. Barnes can play behind Wood or we can go two up top. We have to find a way to get both in the team though as Wood scores goals and Barnes has been excellent for most of the season. I felt a bit for Jeff yesterday as he p...

I thought we played well today. Can’t remember Pope making a save and we had at least 5 half decent chances in addition to a very good penalty shout turned away.
Huddersfield are strong at home and we made them look very ordinary. With a patched up team, that’s a great point in my book.

I think Keane, Ward then Heaton have been above the rest.
If Hendrick had started like the player he now is (silly red card aside), he'd be up there too.
From a purely financial point of view, Keane should sweep the awards which can only inflate his already hefty price tag for the summer!!
