I suspect we are waiting to see what we get in cash or equivalent for Nakhi Wells and or Vydra. Until that is done, I doubt we will go for Brownhill or anyone else if we intend to. We also seem as a matter of policy to leave our offers till the last couple of days. I'm still hopeful.

Some of the attitudes on here are sickening, yes depraved. I am currently witnessing someone in my own family falling apart. Where did it start? Was it gambling, or alcohol. Were these problems the start or a symptom? Was it a deficiency of the chemicals that give a feeling of zero self worth or did...

I think that the OP's thoughts are more significant than some of you give credit. If you really think we can eventually be relegated and just get promotion again, or establish ourselves as a senior championship club for the long term, then lets carry on as we are. But I don't think it will happen. T...

I'm not a labour voter but have voted labour in my time. Julie Cooper worked hard for Burnley but perhaps was not its most charismatic champion. I am pleased that the old predictable voting loyalties were disrupted and hope it remains so. The Greens or at least their priorities should become a force...

The guilt rests with the culture and institutional knowledge of the time. That's everyone in authority, guilty , who thought (probably didn't even think) that the ground layout and capacity were adequate. Its a cop out to blame one man because the scale of this tragedy demands a culprit. Looking bac...

On a related note. I was once told by a then senior executive of BFC that if Burnley dyed a flock of sheep claret and blue and grazed them on Turf Moor, several thousand people would turn up to watch.
