Re: Champions versus MIGHTY CLARETS

Poor stuff from Klopp and Robertson at the eve - even McManaman with his Liverpool eyes said the Robertson thing was not a penalty. No ones likes us but we were well worth the draw.

Wish I knew what Gibson did to receive so much bad publicity on here as so many clearly are in the know - but maybe moving from his family club where he was a big fish he couldn’t cope with being a bit part here ?

Scored a few memorable goals and was always prepared to put a shift in. Brownhill seems to have settled in remarkably well but I think Hendrick will probably be remembered more for the unseen things like picking up second and third phases of play.

I have adopted Werder Bremen as my German team as Bremen is the city where our student travel consultancy company is based. Since the restart Bremen have had some important and big wins but they just can’t defend. The club has certainly plummeted - it is not that long ago that they were champions an...

Let’s not kid ourselves - the only true loyalty in football comes from the supporters - for the majority of players it is a job and they will always do what is best for themselves. This season has been made more difficult with the Covid issue but plenty of people on here implied that Hendrick had al...

The German 5:1 was the one for me - we had two coaches of German students arriving during the game and the first question I was asked as I met the group leader was “how is the score” ..... so I said 2:1 - and he replied “oh good so we are winning yah?” - he couldn’t actually imagine that England mig...

I am self employed but unlikely to have any work until March or April next year as my wife and I run a foreign student business. Work from home so lockdown hasn’t been a problem - pass time by doing jigsaws, crosswords, bit of gardening and now watching some German football.

Nearly all our students go to Canterbury on their last day - we get around 12,000 a year and they are good for the local economy (and our host families) - I know they can be a nuisance but they are an easy target for the local youths which is our biggest problem.
