The 1985 concerts were the ‘Born in the USA’ tour, when he was probably at the peak of world popularity ( though far from his best album) - he did four nights at Wembley Stadium ( I got to two) and you couldn’t buy a ticket... the yuppies of that time bought into BS in a big way, he was the latest b...

A brilliant documentary to be honest, covering what will probably be a once in a lifetime event.. looking at the scale of it last night, it’s hard to believe it ever happened. Woodstock 1969, fifty years ago today
Woodstock was a music festival held August 15–18, 1969, which attracted an audience of more than 400,000. Billed as "an Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music", it was held at Max Yasgur's 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York, 43 miles (70 km) southwest of Woodstock. It was alternatively re...

Re: Cricket world cup on free to air tv
OK got that.
Is this correct?
India, if they win their final group match, don’t yet know where they will be playing their semi-final..(we do) had they been able to buy semi-final tickets early, would that have been a bright move?
- messy selling them on in a black market.

Re: Cricket world cup on free to air tv
We possibly could though that relies on India beating Sri Lanka (likely) and Australia losing to South Africa ( unlikely) both tomorrow.
England vs India could obviously go either way - I doubt there will be the crowd imbalance at E’ton for a semi final, that existed there when we last played India.
