One of my absolute favourites. Thanks for the memories. Even though he had left by then I was sort of proud when he almost single handedly destroyed England in a 4-1 mauling.

I’ve had a couple of pairs and I have a bit of a love hate thing with them. Running I felt like they didn’t offer enough protection and I could feel every pebble I ran over. Walking ver comfy. Hard to put on wet feet and difficult to get the sizing right. Overall I’d rate them 7/10

I come from Bacup and used to be able to tell people from Bacup, Rochdale, Todmorden, Burnley and Rawtenstall by their accents…. So it’s no real surprise Burnley is different from Blackburn.

I do wonder whether we might be better away from home. We do have pace and are dangerous on the break. We need to get better at defending full stop and part of that is not getting caught in possession or coughing the ball up in dangerous positions.

On the summer recruiting i think we were unlucky in that there were players who turned us down that would have strengthened where we are weak. We did buy a shedload of wingers but every one of them looks like they have something about them and we are very likely to turn a profit on them. If we can g...

The whole balance of the game changed when JBG went off. Coupled with the odd sub and we were on the back foot Tresor was our worst player when he came on. Lacked energy and intensity and for someone with so many assists he played the wrong pass at the wrong speed. Hopefully this is a one off. Lars...

Actually I don’t think this is too bad an idea given the other options. We can’t keep playing so many out of position and this actually reduces the number of square pegs in round holes.

Not sure we NEED a striker. Foster has set off well. We have numerous other attacking players who play or can play as a 10. J Rod probably only going to get a handful of starts as it is. LB is a different matter. Not a single player and back up options look poor. (Assuming VK thinks Charlie can’t ad...

One observation is that we would probably play 4 each game. Kompany nearly always subs his wide players. So maybe we need a pool of 6-7.

I’ve said it before but much too much is made of transfer fees. We’ve swapped £x million of cash for £x million of assets. Wages are the key to sustained profitability and that is something no one is privy to. If we’ve got good players on good wages then we are doing well. Who knows if the players w...

Neither wanted to play Championship football. But a couple of well timed quotes and Cornet got our blessing. ...

I think most people would say the best part of his game was when he was playing sweeper, which was great last season. Premier league teams won't allow him to do that, so taking that away from his game what are you left with?...a keeper you would be confident of pulling off 4 or 5 big saves every ga...
