Re: National Trust
Another shout for Fountains Abbey, I'd say it's the best NT visit I've done within a 2 hour drive. Brimham rocks is good but the car park will be mega busy bank holiday if it's not raining. Hardcastle crags is also a nice walk when it's fine. I wasn't too impressed with Dunham Massey although the ki...

Re: ARTICLE: Me and Blackburn Rovers
Thanks Tony, a great read. Brought back a few hard-to-take memories from 80's but one memory from more recent times was just before Dyche was appointed and it was Clarets, Rovers and Bolton all looking for a new manager at the same time (and I think Blackpool were too just a few weeks later). Who wo...

'Tis the life of a claret I s'pose, fear the worst and rejoice the good times
And after Leicesters great escape last time we were in Prem we're just waiting for the next team to emulate their escapade

Re: How many points from the next three games?
50-1 with Skybet to be relegated, I can see those odds dropping like a stone over the next 3 matches
And double it up with Rovers to stay up is almost 200-1, put a couple of quid on myself, tgats one bet I hope goes t1ts up

Re: Germany V's England
I agree But I thought this one was a definite penalty Didn't change his run. Didn't dangle a leg. Just got taken out Yes agree with all this - but he was looking for it. And why shouldn't he? It's all part of the game unfortunately. If England are ever to progress that why not match their opponents...

16 yrs old, pint of Stones' bitter in the Golden Cross in Ossy, think it was about 90p, landlord knew we were underage but it was midweek, fairly quiet and there was a group of us from Gateway across the road, we spent most of our wages in there for the next couple of years

Re: What Junior Football team did you play for ?
There were a few of us from Teds that all played Sunday league together through the school years during early 80s, started at St Veronica's in Haslingden playing mostly over Ramsbottom and Bury way. Then played at Padiham, and Higham, had some cracking games against the likes of Highfield, Brierfiel...

Re: Places inbetween Burnley and Blackburn.
Born and schooled in Burnley but never lived there, grew up in Accy, worked in Ossy, Blackburn and Accy and always enjoyed the banter. When I worked in Blackburn in the 90's there were more Clarets than Rovers fans in the workforce. I remember watching the 5-0 defeat in Canine club in Accy town cent...

Re: Superbowl
Yes I'm watching. Got really into it in the 80's on Ch4, as school kids we used to play in Queens Park during lunchtimes. Then early 90's living in Accy, everyone went out Sunday nights so there was always a Super Bowl party after hours. Going for the Falcons tonight but Brady is such an awesome QB,...
