RIP John. He was the man who drew people into the Miners, for the afternoon session of what was known as the Monday Club. He was a good singer and very good joke teller. Lots of people got up to sing, some good and some bad, but it was always a popular and well known afternoon out, thanks to Satch.

Another thing that need stamping out, is some of the posters use of 4 letter swear words, being partially disguised with asterisk. I soon lose interest in reading a topic when those words are used. Im surprised it’s not already been banned.

DCWat, a bowl of potato soup with flaky fish added, haddock being my preferred choice, as they’re smaller flakes. The cheese makes it a creamier soup. I’d suggest not adding the diced potatoes in until after the cheese, as they tend to turn to mash, if added before the cheese.

Juan Tanamera, Stan hasn’t changed. If you ever got to know him as a person, rather than a football player,manager, you would see, he is a genuine, likeable knowledgeable man, who can hold a conversation on a host of subjects and enjoys the banter with the lads.
