Re: O'Shea suspended?

They don't look at the relative skills or speed of the players, that's right. But they certainly do look at the position of the ball. If the forward isn't going to reach the ball, or if he is going to reach the ball but it's by the corner flag, then it isn't (in theory if not in practice!) a goalsc...

Re: O'Shea suspended?

The DOGSO rule isn't about whether the player would score, it looks at the number of defenders between the incident and a direct path to goal, if it is just the keeper then it is a DOGSO and thus worthy of a straight red. It doesn't matter that the keeper would reach the ball 1st, or another defende...

I've allowed mine to auto-renew :) (Despite the fact that Father Jack has used it at Turf Moor more than I have have).

Living just inside 'softie' country it costs a fortune to get to Turf Moor whilst many away days are within a cheaper drive radius.

My Cricketfield Stand over 65s ticket has only increased from the current £240 to £260 next season, which is an 8.3% increase. Sounds like pretty good value to me given I will be getting 8.6% increases in my State and NHS pensions next month.

And even when we do equalise it is ruled out for a marginal free-kick call instead of the usual 'Let's see what VAR say' attitude from the ref. Then there is a penalty shout after, to be fair, minimal contact, that isn't given despite similar contact being seen as enough to chalk off Cullen's goal.
