Trafford didn’t claim the ball for their 1st because there were 2 forwards and 3 defenders in front of him and his arms would need to be 6 foot longer to get anywhere near the ball.

The defence are told what positions to adopt for corners - Odobert didn’t do his job.

Our set plays usually put us under pressure. Any team who doesn’t take advantage of these situations is either so good it doesn’t matter or being very badly coached (to put it very politely).

Not having a proven replacement for left back is just suicidal. Beyer or another centre back could play there in emergencies but they don’t have the engine, the speed or the recovery powers needed to play the role for half a season. Why is right back being prioritised over left back. We have one competent left back at the club and are one injury away from leaving us exposed on that side for half a season.
No point playing centre backs as full backs, they are massively different positions

His movement was outstanding, he was a goal scorer, he worked hard, he had terrific pace, he was full of confidence and the fans were fully behind him.
