Re: O\T roadworks/ temporary traffic lights

So long as they wait for the Town 2 Turf to be finished before starting on Manchester Road then I'm absolutely fine with it.

You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs - these things involve short-term disruption for the long-term good.

Found this online listing each Championship club's cheapest season ticket price for the current season. https://www.statista.com/statistics/473324/championship-teams-cheapest-season-tickets-uk-soccer-football/ Assuming none of them change prices (which is quite an assumption) then our cheapest adult...

How does everyone know that traffic flow will be worse with the new junction? Crystal ball or time machine?

I hate the roadworks as much as anyone else, but making such unfounded statements makes us sound like we're whinging for the sake of it.

You lot who are going do know that professional wrestling is fixed don’t you.

Much the same as I know that the ending to Macbeth is fixed, or the most recent season of Stranger Things is fixed.

The fun is in watching skilled performers show you how it happens.

You'd assume it will be either the centre spot or the fanzone, depending on levels of tinpot, which do appear to be rather high
It's in the fanzone if the photos of past events on Burnley pro wrestling's socials are anything to go off.

As far as the badge goes, I very slightly prefer the current one to the previous one. I have issues with both designs though. The current has a lot of wasted space and has far too much blue and yellow and not enough claret. The former is too busy and old fashioned for my tastes. Would prefer a new d...

Pay £7k for a statue and that's what you get.

Yes £7k is a lot for a council to spend but it isn't a lot for a statue. I'm sure Julius Caesar employed a master craftsman to make his by hand.

I imagine it gives Luton more hope than us.

I've accepted we are 99% likely to be relegated and I just want them to show some grit, fight and gumption for the remaining fixtures. If we get to the last game with a chance at survival I'd be delighted of course.

The worst thing for me is that the knock out stages will be totally seeded (like a tennis tournament) based on the league stage I.e. 1st seed plays 16th seed, 2nd seed plays 15th seed, with 1st and 2nd at opposite sides of the draw so they can't play until the final. Australia could do with re-joining OFC. For two reasons

- OFC are now guaranteed 1 automatic qualification spot (+1 play off spot) since future WCs have been expanded to 48 teams.
- OFC nations will be eligible to bid for the 2038 WC whereas AFC nations are now locked out of bidding until 2046.
