Most Everton fans I know are very realistic about where they sit in the scheme of things. Their sense of entitlement is reasonable compared to their Merseyside neighbours although frankly I don't know why Tranmere fans have a chip on their shoulders.

I also distinctly remember a LET advert board outside a newsagent that said "Gazza coming to Turf". I bought the paper and subsequently found out that Gazza was coming to play a reserve game for boro against us. I was furious. That memory tempered my response when we actually did sign him.

The Anderson at Fortrose is a great place to stay the other side of Inverness. Dozens or real ales, hundreds of interesting imported beers (including a selection of Mikkeller) and a whisky menu that's like a phone book. The food is excellent as well. I always stay there when I'm up that way.
