Re: Charlton Athletic - frying pan into fire?

Bury were expelled of course but only after numerous chances where given and the future of the club could not in any way be guaranteed. I'm not certain any club has survived when it has got to the state Bury was in. Bolton somehow survived but at least there was some kind of plan and of course, alt...

He could definitely do with some help as he is either mentally unstable, a drunk or a bit of both. I also suspect like a lot of highly paid footballers, he may expect the Club to take responsibility for his irresponsibility and pay for his treatment.

According to Simon Jordan you can buy before the, 'Fit and Proper Persons Check' as the deal is between buyer and club and outside the remit of the FA/Football League.

You then need to provide the evidence to operate within the rules of the Football League.

Fred booked for diving - Not enough contact to warrant going down.

Lamela was barely tickled by Ben Mee, his foot was going over as soon as he knew the tackle was coming.

Dual standards and fwiw if Lamela was a penalty then Fred's was nailed on!

The problem with this argument is the goals we concede to City, L’pool, Chelsea, etc., on a regular basis. Against international opposition they'd be mullered.
Possibly not with a better midfield screening them. No slight on ours but the England 4 must be better than ours.

Credit the lad for wanting to play instead of sitting on his arse and a move to Southampton was spot on for him.
