Re: £80m you'r having a laugh

Probably not far off. He’s done far more than Neymar, Hazard, Coutinho over the past 2/3 years. If Sterling and Kane were called Sterlino and Kano and played for Brazil they’d be raved about. Tbf, the Hazard of last season was a level above Sterling and he was probably the best player in the world.

Re: England vs Kosovo

I thought Maguire was top class apart from his stupid kick in the box. He was the only player to get forward and to pick out diagonal balls after we went behind. Going forward maybe, but as a defender he isn't that good. The best defenders maybe make mistakes once every few games. Likes Stones, he'...

hopefully Southgate comes out after the game and says nowhere near good enough defensively. The thing is, players like TAA don't have to do much defending at Liverpool but when they have to they really struggle against anyone who runs at them. Going forward we have some very good players but when it comes to the defensive side of the game we have no-one at the highest level.

I'm hoping that the NI situation is solved as its the biggest impediment to a deal. I'm not sure that throwing the DUP under a bus wouldn't harm him and it would remove potential allies if its another hung parliament. The problem is that Bayliss is leaving and as we can't win the Ashes he probably isn't that bothered.

As we have won the one day world cup he can rightly point to the success he's had with that, so I suspect there is little motivation for him to start thinking about other players for the test team.
