Re: 19 games in, 19 games to go...
If we do go down hopefully, Leicester, Southampton & Leeds will get promoted.
It might be hard for Ipswich to maintain their form going into next season, and the rest of the competition doesn't look too difficult.

For such an attacking side we've been very poor for large parts of the season so far. Not having a single effort on target doesn't bode well.

Re: Keep the faith
We basically need six wins plus a few draws to stay up.
The home games against Wolves, Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth, Forest & Luton plus Sheff United away are the ones realistically available.
Unless matches like today can spring a surprise.

In the Champions league final against Inter Man City abandoned their passing game once they went in front. They completely parked the bus. Even Pep Guardiola realised that winning the Champions league was far, far more important than sticking to any football philosophy he had.

Bottom line is the history books only ever show what you've achieved, never how many passes you made to score a goal.
That's the only thing that really matters.

I only posted earlier to let people know that Dave Fishwick was on tv. I think many have seen his film. A nice film. Lots of the film is not accurate - and, not just the bit about a band playing at Turf Moor. Nice, however, to see Burnley portrayed well in a film. Dave Fishwick didn't set up a bank...

What is the largest ever points difference an English club has experienced between one season and the next ? Re: The most annoying thing for me is….
Again another poster pretending we’re trying to play the same way as last season, we aren’t. We are no longer a passing pressing team with a fluid system designed to create 3v2s in areas of the pitch. We are now a pass around defence until we get pressed and cough it up. Zero pressing. Zero tempo. ...

Re: The most annoying thing for me is….
The problem is the way we want to play in its purest form doesn't work in the Prem.
It never worked for the likes of Norwich and I doubt it'll ever work for us.
Unless we become more pragmatic we'll almost certainly get relegated whenever we return to the Prem.
It simply can't work unless we adapt.
