Kaptin - that's what they feel garnered an OTT response from the market and media, the repayment plan. PF are insistent it was drawn up in line with FCA guidelines, and is written as an entirely optional, separate entity which has to be requested and opted into. They're confident it will pass all s...

I have a feeling this deal will eventually get done, albeit maybe not until the summer. That said, the story about us looking to bring in Holding from Arsenal could have been a smokescreen designed to put pressure on Forest to make a decision.

Re: CF Woodford Equity Income Fund
We’ve had a guy from Woodford in the office this morning, discussing the equity income fund and explaining their thinking at the moment. Their main pointer is that the growth seen in 2016 and 2017 primarily came from just 7 companies, with all 7 being highly exposed to Chinese credit growth. 80% of...

Barring a few exceptions, promoted teams always seem to fade in the second half of the season, picking up fewer points than in the first half. I put this down to mometum from promotion fading, combined with injuries, suspensions and simply not being able to maintain the required level of intensity t...

Despite losing, I thought we were excellent today and United look distinctly average. On that basis I’m giving everyone an 8 except Tarkowski who was a 9.

With hindsight, he took a real gamble running his contract down. He’d already had two knee injuries (one very bad) and there was always a risk he could break down again. As it was, he was lucky in that his next bad injury came shortly after he had signed for Liverpool, but if it had come at the end ...
