Crystal Palace reportedly looking at other targets because Jairo Riedewald is refusing to move to Swansea as part of the deal.

He's reportedly on £50k a week at Swansea so is probably within our wage limits. Would be a great signing for sure.

Making me nervous too. What seems to happen is the press get wind of a signing for us, we spend our time getting it over the line, then someone comes in and hijacks it. Hopefully not the case here as I think he would be a good match for us.

I’d said all along that we’d play brinkmanship with Jay then get to the last day of the window and somebody else would come in for him. Should have paid the asking price on this given how much he wanted to come.

Assuming Joe Hart signs tomorrow then just another 2 will do me. Pacy striker who can play off our many target men. Also a pacy tricky winger who can create something out of nothing. Would love a Robbie Blake type character (though I realise he wasn't pacy, especially on his last stint at the club).

And by the looks of it United are about to go in for Harry McGuire. To have all our defenders locked down to long term deals would make me a lot more relaxed in transfer windows.

Fitness will not be the problem. "He is not fit but we will get him fit" Sean Dyche and so we sign him au Wells. More likely "I have assessed his injury, looked at the MR of his knee and I cannot be certain he doesn't need more surgery. If he does he will be out another 9 months"...

I think Ben is a great passer of the ball. But as a defender at stopping attacks he is better than Tarks. Tarks also has a habit of trying to do a little to much with the ball and gets caught out sometimes.

This is a very shrewd bit of business by BFC. Buy him now for £4 million, get his confidence up and back to his best, then in a years time he will want a huge pay rise so we can sell him back to a top team for £20 million.
