Has nobody considered that one of the reason Joe doesn't come for crosses is because his confidence is low. He probably only feels safe when on his goal line. One of his main reasons for coming to us was to learn from Billy Mercer and to gain back his confidence. I'm sure with a few more clean sheet...

I don't think we would be any better off with Tom in goal, in fact when he played for us against Olympiakos he looked to be protecting his shoulder when he dived. He didn't seem the player he was before the injury, though clearly a couple of games aren't enough for him to get back his past form.

Why Sean stands by Joe Hart

I have a theory about why Sean sticks with Hart above selecting Heaton. I'm not saying Heaton is the better keeper here and Hart should lose his place, but simply stating a theory I have. Sean's usual strategy (maybe that isn't the right word for Sean) is that a player keeps their place in the team ...

Spot on Tony. It's in games like this where I think we see Sean's biggest failing, an inability to affect a game via tactics. It is so frustrating. I like Joe a lot but I am wondering if our defensive frailties could be because of him. He rarely commands his area. He normally stays rooted to the lin...

Sean Dyche has to stay. His achievements with Burnley show that he is one of the best managers in Britain. What we are having now is a season like we should expect every year in the Premier League. Not spot on. If he can’t see the lack of creativity and chances the team is creating because of his rigid style of play (pass to each wing in turn then pass it to Ben to lump it forwards) then we have no chance. Where is the pace down the wings? Lennon, Brady and Taylor had it in spades when we sign...

I only saw the second half, but that was an excellent performance compared to previous games. We threw so many more bodies forward when in attack and looked dangerous all the time. A clean sheet too. When we first signed him, he was running at defences, getting to the byeline then putting in great crosses.
