I'd be happy with Jay as the only new striker in and Crouch out; Jay is a quality player and would give his whole for Burnley. It would also add more spice to the matches with beloved Brighton.

On a slightly related note, the Park View Chippy is open again too. Spoke to the owner and he said he had been in hospital with a serious illness but had now made a full recovery.

We'll sell Wells and Vydra to free funds (that we didn't spend last year), to then miss out on Jay and Che because other teams will have already signed them.

It's the Burnley way.

Vinyl wrapped GT-R yesterday

As I was coming out of the long causeway into Burnley around 6pm last night, this brilliant Nissan GT-R vinyl wrapped in this silver pearlescent coating was turning in.

I’ve never seen anything like it. It looked incredible but had me wondering if it was a footballer that owned it.

Yes. I'm hoping we get to see more of Vydra with Sam leaving. He was the top scorer in the Championship so should give us most of what Che Adams would bring if not more.

Even if we offered £12 million now, given how long it is taking to get Crouchy through his medical, there is no way we could get Che up here for a medical and to sign in how long is left. We are done.

I like it because it reinforces the mentality I don't like of everything is great so long as we finish 17th. I don't mind finishing 17th, but it shouldn't be the be all and end all.
