Re: Best Clarets Individual Goal On The Turf?

That was one of my favourite goals of recent years Tony. Sheer class. If Messi had done that it would be replayed over and over. As for other goals, Joey Gudjohnsson (sp?) Against Preston was a corker. Another shout for defour this time against man utd. There's been so many. Robbie Blake against Pre...

Re: Top fishing from Talksport

Fair enough but calling it the death of the sport of football if women get involved is over egging it, even if it was not meant to sound as bigoted as it seemed. It wasn't bigoted at all. I don't understand why society can't accept that men and women are different and stop trying to take equality t...

What does it say about me exactly? Women's football and men's football should be left to be enjoyed separately, like women and men's tennis. You are never going to have a fair competition mixing it up, and it won't be the same sport I grew up and loved.

Re: Top fishing from Talksport

I’m not sure you can include women's records alongside men’s. Fifa seems to recognise the women’s game as separate to the men’s so it’s a grey area for me. It would be great to see women reach a level where they could play alongside men though. That, in my opinion, will be the day football takes it...

They'd be guesses but I'm pretty sure in answer to your first question it would have been 1 or 2 years before that. Possibly 96/97 season. As for your second question it's definitely later. I'd say around 04/05. I'm sure someone on here will know exactly.

Ade turned on the edge of the box and put one in the bottom corner and I missed the whole thing. I think we went on to lose 2-1 that day. How far we have come.

I said when Taylor signed that one day he would play for England. I still stand by that comment. He hasn't featured enough to warrant the best left back of the last 10 years but in a season or 2 he will prove to be undoubtedly our best left back of a generation.
