Re: Chris Wood
He was very good for us until his international travels, for NZ, and specifically, to my mind, the Olympics ruined him. He came back from the Olympics burned out and never got the recovery time he needed. Sad but at the time for the money we, allegedly, got he had to go. I never understood why fans...

Re: Double barrelled surnames.
Well, it is a modern-day trend, especially in football. We are seeing much more of it these days. Maybe it's because the names are printed above the numbers on the back of the shirts. Maybe footballers want to credit both parents in that regard. They probably wouldn't use both names if they lived ou...

You can take in loads of of games in just a few weeks.
Colne FC should be marketing this as an April ticket to get new fans through the gates.

Re: Not Flagging Offsides
There was a game, I think, last season or so, when a defender scored in their own goal. He intercepted a pass to a player in an offside position, but the ball went past this keeper instead. The goal was given from memory, but the argument was that he wouldn't have attempted to control the ball if th...

Re: Administration?
Anyhow, at the moment, I'm enjoying our upturn in form. Aye, maybe it is too late in the day, but it's great to see the team putting in some decent performances and playing some good stuff. This makes me a very happy fan - the last thing I'm going to do is worry whether the club's bills are going t...

Re: Not Flagging Offsides
My issue is that when we win the ball back from an attack, the linesman waves the delayed flag, and then the referee stops play, which kills the advantage after we win back possession. It kills the momentum, the opposition has regrouped, and I'm not sure if the time is added on for the free kick to ...

Have they not been paid, or are you talking about something that hasn't happened? What I was referring to was the fact you mentioned that loads of other clubs will be going through the same thing if 'the market collapses' I'm saying that Burnley could still go bust, even if it means going bust with...

Ait-Nouri didn't dive. That gives the ref some justification in making the decision. Ait-Nouri lost his balance but ref fancied giving Wolves a free-kick.

Not Flagging Offsides
These stupid rules need scrapping. I'm tired of watching players knowing it's blatantly offside but still having to play to the whistle and risking injury. And when your chasing the game and you win the ball back from the attacker only for the flag to then go up… it's killing the momentum of the game.

Re: Free Kick Or No Free Kick
As fans, we need to start protesting the quality of decisions by poor referees this season. We need banners, booing the Premier League Anthem or something. Action needs to be taken.
I genuinely believe there's a conspiracy, and Howard Webb needs to resign.

It just needs scrapping. I can live with refs making crap decisions, but can't stand them being backed up after the fact.
I can't stand them finding any small reason to have goals being ruled out too.

Ex-pros being on VAR would be stupid idea. Any former pro who has had any links to the any of the club or playing for their rivals would just cause more problems. VAR is supposed to assist officials in not making poor decisions, instead they're just backing their poor decisions up. Instead of changi...
