Re: Today’s football 5.11

Norwich are a great example of sacking a manager, losing their identity and now ending up in no man’s land, with an unhappy fanbase, empty stadium, ageing players and parachute payments running out. I hope we don’t follow paths.

Re: Lack of goals

I expected our defence to be weak this season, my pre-season prediction was we'd get hammered more than one, but I thought we'd at least score a decent number of goals. But, we've got one of the lowest numbers of shots attempted, expected goals and actual goals in the league. It's gone under the ra...

Trafford 6 - some sloppy passing, no chance with goals Vitinho 6 - did alright, a good, switched on defender sense the danger for their goal, though O’Shea 4 - I felt he struggled with any progressive passing Beyer 5 - major error but the defence looked far better with him in Taylor 5 - some good de...

Crystal Palace were absolutely abysmal so I really don’t think there was anything in their display today that we’re lacking.
I thought Anderson, Guehi and their midfield 2 of Doucore and Lerma were brilliant. Anderson in particular outstanding.

We haven’t spent 50m on them.

More like 40m (Trafford 13.7, Tresor 15, Ramsey 12).

Note they probably include some form of future bonus clauses within them too.

Ramsey was the best player on the pitch v United, Tresor has started 2 games and both out of position.
