Re: Today’s football 5.11
Norwich are a great example of sacking a manager, losing their identity and now ending up in no man’s land, with an unhappy fanbase, empty stadium, ageing players and parachute payments running out. I hope we don’t follow paths.

Re: Lack of goals
I expected our defence to be weak this season, my pre-season prediction was we'd get hammered more than one, but I thought we'd at least score a decent number of goals. But, we've got one of the lowest numbers of shots attempted, expected goals and actual goals in the league. It's gone under the ra...

Trafford 6 - some sloppy passing, no chance with goals Vitinho 6 - did alright, a good, switched on defender sense the danger for their goal, though O’Shea 4 - I felt he struggled with any progressive passing Beyer 5 - major error but the defence looked far better with him in Taylor 5 - some good de...

Analytics is all well and good but I think actually watching the game with your own eyes is underrated these days. There have been a few players last few years who should have been nowhere near the team so I wonder if that’s because their stats are good or the manager/s has been completely biased t...

Vitinho was dreadful again. He saw plenty of the ball in good areas but the move generally broke down because of his lack of quality/pace/ability. Half time thoughts - best we’ve played out from the back all season, reasons for this include Muric, Delcroix at lb and playing a double pivot rather than single - lacking a bit of creativity up front albeit Everton have defended well on that final action, Amdouni and Foster instead of Jay and Redmo...

Re: Looks like we are buying Tresor
We haven’t spent 50m on them.
More like 40m (Trafford 13.7, Tresor 15, Ramsey 12).
Note they probably include some form of future bonus clauses within them too.
Ramsey was the best player on the pitch v United, Tresor has started 2 games and both out of position.

I can’t be bothered to debate all this. The debt, number of loans taken out etc are well documented. Of course there was concern, as there should be. I’m with claretspice on this. Like I’ve been saying Berge and Cullen haven’t play in a typical double pivot since the City game, where we/he did alright, given signing only 4 days earlier. The 4-3-3 type shape with Cullen as the sole 6 has left only Cullen ball side and we’ve been killed on transiti...

The aggression and physicality displayed by these City players is incredible. They're a team of beasts now.
